The COIN app gives you the option to redeem your COIN for real-world items or cryptocurrency.
When redeeming your COIN for a physical item, the COIN app needs your shipping address in order to deliver your items(currently restricted to the US).
When redeeming your COIN for cryptocurrency, we need an external wallet to send your tokens to.
If redeeming your COIN for XYO, ETH, or BTC, we can send your XYO, ETH, or BTC to your Coinbase account over sending it to an external wallet. This is a Gas Fee FREE option to redeem COIN.
Otherwise, you can set up an external crypto wallet to receive XYO, ETH, or BTC.
Think of your wallet the same way as a physical address. Wallets have a private key and a public key.
The private key is for your eyes only, never share this with anyone.
The public key is your Receiving Address. This is what anyone would need if they want to send you tokens. There are different Receiving Address' for each crypto-token, so make sure you choose the correct Receiving Address designated for your token.
(i.e When receiving XYO, you need to provide COIN with your receiving XYO wallet address.)
Be careful when providing your receiving address! Entering a wallet address that is not compatible with XYO can result in a loss of digital currency. We cannot resend your tokens or edit the transaction.
