The standard geodrop allows you to drop a digital asset (such as COIN Tokens) on the tile you’re standing on. The next time someone gets near that tile and geomines with COIN, they’ll collect your reward!
Other types of Geodrops
With the “Any” button, your drop will go to the very next person who mines. They could be in your town or across the world. The bounty goes to whoever hits the button first.
You can set up a geodrop for your sweetheart or a friend, using their email address. This means that only they can collect those tokens. But they have to use COIN and geomine to receive them.
In other words, if your intended recipient doesn’t use COIN or they forget to log into COIN and geomine, that geodrop is going to sit there and sit there and sit there until they do.
Each geodrop lets you add a note — limited to 140 characters — to whoever collects the drop.
Need a step-by-step on how to geodrop? Here’s a video by Phil, who walks you through the whole process.
