This article has instructions for how to pair your SentinelX with the COIN App for Sentinel Sharing. If you would like to learn more about the Sentinel Sharing feature, please see this article:
Note: This process requires a BridgeX. If you do not have a BridgeX, you can buy one here: https://shop.xyo.network/xyo-bridge/
Sentinel Sharing is now live! You can access this feature from the Account Window, which is the little profile icon on the top right of the app.
To add a Sentinel, you'll need to have a BridgeX in range. Press the ADD button.
If there is one in range and COIN is still preventing you from adding a Shared Sentinel, try restarting the BridgeX.
If there is no BridgeX in range, you will see this message
The Sentinel Add Screen
Once you get to the add screen, the process is pretty straightforward. Press the button on your SentinelX or XY4+, then select its color and name it (who you will give it to or where you will put it).
There are two problems that can occur here:
a) There was more than one Sentinel or XY4+ button press detected (this will kick you out of the process, explain why and have you try again after 15 secs)
b) The SentinelX you have pressed is currently doing a bound witness and so COIN can't see it. You should to give it up to a minute to start advertising again (while pressing the button every 10 seconds).
Note: If you selected the incorrect color or need to rename your Sentinel, please see this article: How to rename and/or change the data for your paired SentinelX in COIN
Placing the Shared Sentinel
Once the SentinelX or XY4+ is added you can place it in a shared area (like at a train station) or give it to someone and any time geomining occurs with it in range, it has a chance to be selected for the 10% share of rewards.
If it is the only Sentinel or XY4+ in range then it will be selected 100% of the time. Only 1 device is selected per geomine for sharing.
