There may be a few reasons you are not receiving referral rewards after inviting a friend to join COIN. (Need instructions on how to do that? Check out this article: Referral Rewards)
#1: The person you invited is not Geomining fresh tiles
You'll earn referral rewards when the person you invited actively Geomines fresh tiles on their COIN account. If they downloaded the app, but have not Geomined yet or are no longer using the app, you may not receive any rewards. Once they resume using COIN, they'll need to continue Geomining for you to continue receiving Referral Rewards from them.
#2: The person you invited did not use your link to download COIN, or the attempt was not successful
The friend you invite has to download COIN using the link you sent them. If they download from another place, like directly from the app store, we may not be able to connect their account to yours for the referral rewards. Any breaks or moving to another app in the download process can also cause errors. No worries, though! You can fix it with the instructions below.
Note: Referrer can only be set one time, and only if there was no referrer already set.
The Fix: Ask the person you referred to visit: https://my.coinapp.co/referrer. There, they can set your COIN Account email address as their referrer. If they didn't receive the initial gift of 1000 COIN, it will be sent once their referrer is manually set.
Checking Your Referral Rewards
You can check your Referral Rewards inside the COIN app. Here's how:
- Open COIN and tap the ✚ icon in the top right corner
- Tap the "Referral Rewards" button
- You'll see the page pictured below, tap Referrals
